Andrea Brenta, patriot and leader of the Risorgimento, lived in this complex with frescoes and plaques portraying him in the main courtyard, which a part of the house overlooks.
The house comfortably accommodates 4 people. On the ground floor the living room with equipped kitchen (dishwasher, gas hob and traditional oven), dining area, a 3-seater sofa, TV and 3 windows. On the first floor, the first bedroom with bunk bed, wardrobe and window, as well as the bathroom with window, shower, toilet, bidet, sink and washing machine. On the second floor the double bedroom with window, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Autonomous heating. Please note that the rooms do not have doors and are all open and communicating on the 3 floors, with the exception of the bathroom!
We will provide precise instructions to allow you to be independent and we will be available during the day and evening for any eventuality.
The village is very quiet and in 7 minutes you reach the town center with the typical shops, from the bar to the restaurants, from the pastry shop to the baker, from the pharmacy, to the bank and to the supermarket.
In the immediate vicinity, some houses and the first path 50m away from which you can reach a viewpoint and why not the summit of Monte Luria through its forest. The Val d'Intelvi is in fact renowned for its natural beauty, offering from walks with views of both lakes Como and Lugano, to mountain bike, climbing and canyoning routes, to panoramic places such as the Sighignola peak, defined as " the balcony of Italy". Once booked you will have access to our local internal guide.
Lake Como and Lake Lugano are 15 minutes away by car (20 by bus) and allow you to further extend the choice of daily activities, such as discovering the historical and cultural legacy of the Comacine masters, who from the 12th to the 18th century they built and decorated numerous churches, palaces and monuments throughout Europe; from Parma to St. Petersburg and from Milan to Munich.
The Val d'Intelvi stood out for the art of Scagliola, or the imitation of marble and marble inlay using variously colored plaster mixtures, of which several examples can be seen in the valley.
