Connecting Lake Como to Lake Ticino, Intelvi Valley is ideal for mountain sports, cultural heritage tourism or simply to relax. A 17th Century building with a cosy mountain feel, overlooking the valley in the medieval part of San Fedele, with all modern conveniences.
THE SPACE
One-bedroom apartment on the first floor of an 18th century building, overlooking the historic courtyard with the frescoes of the local hero who lived in these places and who helped raise the feeling of independence of the nation during the occupation of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. A quiet and welcoming environment renovated with all modern comforts.
Consisting of living area with double bed, armchair, console, coffee tables and flat screen TV; bathroom with window and shower; fully equipped eat-in kitchen overlooking the courtyard and historic alley, as well as the dining table. Independent heating and WiFi connection.
Located in the medieval part of upper San Fedele, Cà dei Brenta used to be the home of a national hero under the Austrian Empire, during independence of Italy.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
San Fedele Intelvi (CO) Municipality Tourist Tax in force from April to October:
- € 1.50 per person (adult) per night for the first 7 days;
Payment to be made after booking.
LOCATION
The neighborhood is very quiet, 5 minutes by foot from the center of the village were you will find from coffee shops to restaurants, from the bakery to the local pastries, as well as the pharmacy and the bank.
Around the corner you will find the forest (50m from the house) where you can catch a small trail for a pleasant easy trek. In fact, Val d’Intelvi is the perfect hideout for lovers of mountain sports as it's immersed in a beautiful natural surrounding and offers treks with breathtaking views on the lakes, mountain bike trails, canyoning and panoramic points like Vetta Sighignola, defined as "the balcony of Italy". Once the reservation is confirmed, you will have access to our local guide.
Lake Como and lake Lugano are 15 minutes away by car, were you can visit some of Italy's best cultural heritage sites. Between the 12th and 18th Century artisans, architects and artists of the area have built and decorated countless churches and palaces; from St Petersburg to Milan and from Monaco to Parma. The artists of the valley were mostly renown for the art of “Scagliola”, the imitation of marble and marble inlay using variously colored chalk mixes, of which several examples can be seen in the valley.
