Villa - via Borgo Alto 6 - MorneseDescription
Located on the hill of Berguato (Borgo Alto), all the rooms of the castle, the halls, the bedrooms, the internal courtyard, the garden, the swimming pool and the pool house offer spectacular views of unspoiled nature and of the village of Mornese known for its pleasantness, for its spiritual and folkloristic traditions, as well as its distinguished wine and cuisine.
The interiors tell the story of its various feudal lords: the reconstructions of the 15th century, the extensions of the 18th century, up to the recent renovation with the comforts of the 21st century.
Composed of three sitting rooms (Smart TV), including a library, a 16-seat dining room, eight bedrooms over two floors, six bathrooms, plus two for guests, a well-equipped kitchen, a charming glazed arched entrance hall, ornate halberds, rows of swords, a suit of armor and a games room with ping pong.
One of the towers, which became an artist's studio in the 19th century, has 360-degree views of the splendid surrounding landscape. This is a perfect place to immerse yourself in your interests, on the sidelines of comfortable sofas, or for a meal on the 14-seater table.
The courtyard, surrounded by ancient defensive walls, is one of the most evocative areas of the castle, cool in summer and sheltered in winter, with four arches from which to admire a great panorama. Furnished with outdoor sofas and armchairs, as well as a 14-seater table, it will be one of the most popular places.
From the courtyard, through a balcony and a staircase, one descends into the park towards the swimming pool, the pool house and the grove (also connected to the driveway). Three large garden terraces, all secured by fences and small gates, are as follows: the first has a lawn, a shaded outdoor area and the pool house (changing room, fridge, sink and toilet); the second has a sunny swimming pool, its deck chairs and armchairs, as well as a garden planted with cedars; the third ledge has a lawn ideal for playing football or badminton overlooking the grove.
The car reaches the habitable floor of the castle, convenient for loading and unloading. Various details and areas remain to be discovered such as the covered garage in the old barn with the EV charging station, the large pointed arch that commands the entrance to the property, bas-reliefs, fireplaces, and the many traces that tell the story of the castle.
You will have access to all areas of the castle and the park, except the third floor with the ronfa walkway on the battlements, as well as the cellars, the old prison and the orchard on the castle's defensive embankment. A visit to these areas can be arranged upon request.
The surrounding places offer a variety of fantastic experiences to be discovered through our digital guide: from the cook to the cleaning service, from the Gavi wine cellars, to the 36-hole golf course at Villa Carolina, from walking excursions to bike tours in the Natural Park, from villages unchanged over time such as the Benefizi, to horse riding, the hunting reserve, walks and more. It will also be possible, in season, to be accompanied to pick mushrooms or hunting the rare and precious white truffle.
