The comfy apartment is located on the fourth floor of a lovely 1960s “casa di ringhiera” complex in the heart of Milan's Navigli area. It develops in two levels: the first features an open space with an open kitchen, completed with gas stove, traditional oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle, dishes and cooking utensils, and the living area, with two velvet sofas, an armchair, and flat-screen TV.
Exposed wood planks painted white enhance the grace and harmony of the apartment.
The sleeping area is on the upper floor, which features a comfortable double bed, full-length mirror and a work/study area for those who might need to work remotely or study. From the upper floor there is access to the elegant bathroom, completed with every amenity such as a waterfall shower, toilet, bidet and towel warmer.
The lovely terrace is the final touch of the apartmen: it is equipped with a small table and two chairs, from which you can admire the sunrise or sunset in the heart of Milan.
• THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The apartment is located in the city centre, in the heart of the Navigli neightbourhood, just a few meters from the Darsena and Piazza XIV Maggio.
The area is known to be a place of excellence for Milano's movida, but you should not dwell only on that: in fact, walking along the Navigli, you won’t help stopping and exploring the vintage stores, the bars or the courtyards of the “casa di ringhiera”, which characterize the entire area.
Two minutes from the apartment, you can reach the Darsena an artificial little lake, redeveloped in 2015 during the Expo, where you can take small tours and rowing courses.
The nearest supermarket is PAM (550m) and the nearest pharmacy is only 300m away. Our favourite places to eat in the neighbourhood are:
o MAG Café (€€), to start the day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast in a charming location;
o L'Altro Luca and Andrea(€€), to enjoy typical Milanese cuisine;
o UGO Cocktail Bar (€€), renowned in Milan for its drinks in a setting with floral wallpaper and hunting scenes.
• MOVING AROUND THE AREA
The apartment is located in a strategic area: the center can be reached directly by tram 3 or by foot in just 15 minutes.
The nearest metro stop is Porta Genova (M2, but also a train station), and the nearest tram lines are 2, 3, 9, and 10. Bus lines passing near the apartment are 47, 61, 68 and the 79.
