Holiday home - Via delle Salinelle - CefaluDescription
THE SPACE
Immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, just 200 m from the sea, this farmhouse is equipped with a double bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, a spacious outdoor area with a dining table, stone benches shaded by a reed pergola and an outdoor shower. Nestled along the picturesque Tyrrhenian coast, this home extends with organic charm along its dunes creating a seaside paradise.
Set within a 10-hectare working farm of Villa Catalfamo, embraced by centuries-old olive groves, vibrant citrus groves and inviting vegetable gardens, this oasis invites visitors to explore a Mediterranean wonderland just 6 kilometers from Cefalù. Recognized as a jewel of the community, it has played a fundamental role in preserving the charm of the Mediterranean scrub and its timeless beauty.
On the property there is a main house (Villa Catalfamo - next to the entrance gate), as well as 5 other smaller houses which are not visible and are scattered along the coast (the closest is 200m away). The private road, shared with the other houses, is bordered by a row of trees, centuries-old olive trees, carob trees, citrus groves and native plants such as the agave.
From the house to the beach there is only a meadow with olive trees and the coastal dune. From here, there are 10 stairs to access to the beach, which opens onto the splendid Tyrrhenian coast with one of the most beautiful sunsets in Sicily.
LOCATION
Cefalù, 6km to the east, has a wonderful historic center and a wide choice of shops and restaurants. Don't miss the second most famous smile in the world, after the Mona Lisa, the Unknown Sailor by Antonello di Messina, kept in the Mandralisca Museum.
Lascari (Làschiri in Sicilian) is a town of 3,700 inhabitants on the slopes of a modestly sized hill. Its coastline offers the famous beaches of Gorgo Lungo and Salinelle, the latter the beach in front of Villa Catalfamo Estate.
To the south, the Madonie natural park, with fascinating towns such as Castelbuono, a culinary destination with its inevitable panettone, that of Fiasconaro, now known throughout the world. Castelbuono, together with nearby Pollina, the town of manna, is now a Slow Food Presidium. Visiting Castelbuono is like taking a dive into the Middle Ages, with its clean, well-kept alleys and scents of yesteryear.
